Frequently Asked Questions

Questions

How long does implementation take?

Implementation is designed to be nominal. Firehorse connects to your environment via two integration points -- document intake and data output -- and manages APIs where needed. There is no rip-and-replace of existing systems. Most clients are operational within weeks, not quarters. Pricing is a single enterprise-wide number with no consumption-based surprises.

How is Firehorse different from adding another integration to our existing stack?

Most tools solve one narrow problem and require you to stitch them into everything else. Firehorse owns the entire workflow -- from document intake through data abstraction, compliance determination, stakeholder reporting, and system-of-record integration. You don't get a new application to manage. You get an agent that completes the work. The goal is to reduce the number of handoffs and reconciliation points in your workflow, not add to them.

What is a vertical AI agent, and how is it different from a SaaS tool?

A SaaS tool gives you a place to do work. A vertical AI agent completes the work, with your team in the loop. Firehorse doesn't present a UI for your team to operate -- it executes a defined workflow end-to-end: sorting documents, extracting data, applying compliance rules, updating records, and triggering communications. The distinction matters because adding another SaaS tool adds another system to manage. A vertical agent reduces the number of systems your team has to touch, while increasing data security.

What workflows does Firehorse automate for CRE loan servicers?

Currently, two workflows: Insurance compliance: Sorting and classifying ACORD 25 and ACORD 28 certificates, abstracting policy data, applying guidelines like Freddie Mac, Fannie Mae, HUD, etc., determining compliance, and triggering stakeholder communications. Property inspections: Digitizing on-site inspection workflows for field inspectors and review teams, replacing fragmented note-taking, voice memos, and manual transcription with a structured mobile and web application that streamlines the preparation of the MBA Standard Inspection Form.

Is Firehorse built specifically for commercial real estate, or is it a general AI tool?

Firehorse is purpose-built for commercial real estate loan servicing. The compliance rules, data models, document types, and workflow logic are specific to this domain. We are not a general-purpose AI platform that has been configured for CRE. Nor are we a “wrapper” over a general purpose LLM. The distinction matters for accuracy, auditability, and the speed at which we can adapt to regulatory or guideline changes.

What does pricing look like? Is it consumption-based or flat?

Pricing is a single enterprise-wide number. There are no per-document fees, no consumption tiers, and no surprise overages. We structured it this way deliberately -- consumption-based pricing creates perverse incentives and makes ROI calculation harder for your finance team. One number, one contract. Our pricing on an implied average price per loan basis is less than current common SaaS applications. We offer a free trial to qualified companies, with a customized sandbox.

Does Firehorse offer training and support?

Yes. All Firehorse clients receive live training sessions during onboarding, as well as new employee training after onboarding is completed. This is included at no extra charge. Support is offered via in-app ticketing with an SLA of 12 hours.

Does Firehorse offer an API? Can I import/export data?

Firehorse data is always fully accessible by the client. We can assist in setting up data feeds in or out of Firehorse at any point, at no extra charge.
